OK “we” just used the Crew Drop One bag at a race for the first time and WOW!
I say “we“ because as we all know ultra running is not a solo sport! Before an upcoming 50 miler I packed the bag the same way I packed past crew bags that my wife would be carrying around from spot to spot to crew me (or me carrying one around for her), but this time was so different! All of those little compartments around the edges and the two compartments on the inside of the lid were a total game changer! I put my electrolyte capsules, first aid supplies, fuel, bathroom supplies, and small gear like gloves, gaiters, socks, and buffs in these compartments around the edges of the bag. Doing this not only hyper-organized all my stuff, it also allowed me to place larger items like poles, hat, change of clothes, and bags of food I was swapping out in the large center compartment. No more digging through all the stuff to find what I need, just opening up the top and seeing it all clearly! There’s also a separate shoe compartment with a waterproof liner that’s accessible from the end, which I didn’t need because I wasn’t bringing an extra pair of shoes. This is when I realized that SILO had really thought of everything when designing this bag! If you roll up the exterior of that shoe compartment (that is visible inside the main compartment of the bag) there is a strap to keep the rolled up pouch in place! I mean who thinks of that stuff?! This bag is simply AWESOME! While it is a slight bit smaller than I anticipated when I got it, I actually think it is perfectly sized for a crew bag!
What I loved:
-perfectly sized
-water resistant material
-heavy duty without being heavy
-ALL those compartments!
-the waterproof shoe compartment
-thinking of all the “little things“ like straps, different size compartments, and the color choices.
I love my Silo bag. It doesn’t matter how nasty my trail shoes are, I can shove them (and sometimes my gross sweaty running clothes) in the shoe compartment and rinse it out when I get home. All the other stuff in the main compartment stays dry and clean. Great bag!
I bought this to use for Rim to River 100 and loved it as a crew bag. It fit all my extra clothes and the majority of my food (gels, waffles, energy chews, etc.). The material is great too- I don't need to worry about it getting wet or destroyed. Highly recommend!
This bag is great! It has all the compartments I'd need to stay organized while still being incredibly easy and fast to use. I love the size because its not too big. Feels really sturdy. I'll definitely be gifting this bag to all my running friends!
Awesome. We are glad it's delivering on the promise of helping with organization. We can't wait to help with the gifting to your friends. Be sure to check out the 2 pack and 3 pack bundles!
I bought this for my trailrunning husband after seeing the bags donated for auction at a race. He loves it and uses it whenever he needs to drive somewhere for a run. Lots of compartments, nice size, reasonably priced.
We love to hear you find it to be a great value!
